ROAD Facility Tour

During the first week of my internship with Simmons Foods, Inc in the Communications department, I was given the opportunity to tour the ROAD Facility in Gentry, Arkansas. Simmons produces chicken for Prepared Foods and Pet Food.

Simmons works with everything from the egg to the packaged chicken, so it was fun to go and tour the ROAD facility and see the 3 day old chicks. I was also able to learn from Dr. Sara Throne on the whole process and the vision Simmons has with the wellbeing of each chick.
